Questions parents ask

Which exam board do you recommend? +
Pearson Edexcel International GCSE (IGCSE). Most subjects are assessed entirely by exams, with no coursework to supervise at home, and they are recognised by UK sixth forms and universities in the same way as GCSEs. We teach every major board, so if your child has already started another specification, we’ll teach to that.
Can my child sit your mock exams? +
Yes. We run mock exams every November and January, and you choose whether your child takes part. Every paper is built from real past paper questions for their exam board, matched to what they’ve covered, and marked to the real mark scheme.
How many hours should we do? +
Most families run three to five hours of live tuition a week, with set work in between. We recommend the right hours on the consultation and review them each term.
Can my child start partway through the year? +
Yes. Most families join between September and January. The first lessons start with a diagnostic, so the plan is built around exactly what is left to cover before the summer.
What does it cost? +
1:1 home-education tuition plans start from £189 a month, built around your child’s subjects and weekly hours, with one month’s notice to cancel. We recommend the right plan for your child on the consultation.
Will my child reach a particular grade? +
No honest tutor can guarantee a grade, and we won’t. What we can promise is that nothing is left to chance: we find exactly where your child is losing marks, close those gaps one by one with the same specialist every week, and show you the progress in writing after every lesson.

Under section 7 of the Education Act 1996, parents remain responsible for ensuring their child receives a suitable education. GCSE exam entries, centre arrangements and fees are made directly with an approved exam centre.
